Pastor Dan Helwig

Since early 2010, I have been privileged to serve as Pastor at Lord of Life Lutheran Church.  Over the past year, I am truly humbled by the blessings the Lord of the Church has given to us here at Lord of Life.  Our church family highly supports our mission to reach out to our community by telling their friends and family about Lord of Life.  Our love for God’s Word, for this place and for each other has been fueled by God’s love for us in Christ.  With the Psalmist we say, “I love the house where you live, O Lord, the place where your glory dwells” (Psalm 26:8).

Here in God’s house, which we love, our church family shares its time, talents and treasure so the message of the Gospel continues to be proclaimed outside God’s house as well as inside.

Here in God’s house, which we love, little ones are received into God’s family through the Sacrament of Holy Baptism.

Here in God’s house, which we love, we are privileged to receive the spiritual food of God’s Word and also the life strengthening Sacrament of the Lord’s Supper.

Here in God’s house, which we love, both young and not so young, grow in faith together, serve with each other and look forward to our eternal home in heaven.

Here in God’s house, which we love, we welcome all who would like to worship Jesus with us.  We are confident that the Word of God everyone who hears in this house of God will assure you of forgiveness and the sure hope of heaven through faith in Christ Jesus.

I moved into the area with my wife and family back in 2008 where we have many friends and relatives.  God has blessed my wife, Amy, and I with three daughters, two in college and one in high school.  With over 20 years of pastoral ministry throughout the Midwest, I look forward, God-willing and by his grace to many more years here at Lord of Life.  To God be the glory!
